Hey Everyone – very excited to introduce you to a great friend of mine. He Makes Stuff Happen in the GTA and is our first guest blogger. Darryl has done some very cool stuff with The Fox Network, The Weather Channel and many others.
For the rest of the week we’re heading down the Linkedin road. Every time I speak, I ask who has a Linkedin account? Almost always, every hand goes up. Next question – how’s that working for you? And the room goes quiet. We all know we should be there but making it work for us? I got it covered – let’s make stuff happen!
Hi, my name is Darrell Keezer with Candybox Marketing and I wanted to contribute to this amazing Social Media series put on by the wonderful folks at WeMakeStuffHappen!
Have you ever been stumped about how to generate new prospects / clients through Linkedin? Maybe your entire network knows what you do, and that’s great, but what about those who don’t know you?
Don’t leave it up to them to find you, Linkedin provides you the means of finding them quickly! Here’s how to find qualified prospects & make them into contacts in minutes:
1.The Search is on!
On the top right hand of LinkedIN – click on ‘Advanced’. Don’t settle for just any old search!
Using Linkedin’s advanced search function, you are able to specify tons of criteria including titles, keywords, and locations! Think about what kind of people you want to get in front of, and search for them in your area. Looking to sell to graphic designers that build websites? You can get a list of them in seconds.
3.Bingo – check out these free results.
For the search above, it returned 1067 people in my area meeting my criteria. Now I have a list that I can start working through and connecting. Gone are the days of endless networking events, breakfasts and phone calls to find the people that you are looking for; you now have the list!
Stay tuned tomorrow where Jonathan will show you how to make these people connect with you quickly and build an authentic relationship with them in minutes.
