Find Your Facebook Memories Now In One Place

Get ready to relive your past Facebook memories!
Yesterday Facebook announced a new page called “memories”, a single place on Facebook to reflect on your favorite shared moments with family and friends.
So how is this any different from the “On This Day” feature you’ve likely seen in your News Feed? Well, in addition to the “On This Day” feature which lets you look back on memories on this date over the years, your Memories page now includes the following sections:
- Friends Made on This Day
- Recaps of Memories
- Memories You May Have Missed
The content found on your Memories page will be filled with posts, pictures, short videos and collages to recap your memories and celebrate your “friendiversaries” at any time.
Research shows that reflecting on memories can have a positive impact on people’s mood and overall well-being. However, Facebook product manager Oren Hod, also recognizes that memories are deeply personal and they’re not all positive.
To filter out negative memories, Facebook will automatically detect them based on certain keywords and reactions and filter them out. Mark Zuckerberg also realizes you might not want to see photos of your first trip away with your ex partner, and has you covered. Based on your preferences, you can control who you don’t want to see memories about, along with certain dates and events you’d rather screen out.
So, what are you waiting for?
Start sharing your Facebook memories!
On your computer you can access your memories through the Memories bookmark to the left of your News Feed. To access your memories on your mobile app, click the “more” tab on the bottom right. You can also access Memories through notifications, through messages that you may see in your News Feed, and by visiting facebook.com/memories.
