Today is Giving Tuesday!

Giving Tuesday is a global movement for giving and volunteering. Each year after Black Friday, companies, charities and individuals come together and rally for their favourite causes.

GivingTuesday harnesses the potential of social media and the generosity of people around the world to bring about real change in their communities; it provides a platform for them to encourage the donation of time, resources and talents to address local challenges. It also brings together the collective power of a unique blend of partners – nonprofits, civic organizations, businesses and corporations, as well as families and individuals – to encourage and amplify small acts of kindness. Across Canada and around the world, GivingTuesday unites communities by sharing our capacity to care for and empower one another.”

Kick Off the Giving Season

Giving back is something we do regularly at We Make Stuff Happen. Each year we carefully choose specific charities that we identify with for their values and mission. To kick off the giving season, we’d like to share the charities that we identify with and go out of our way to support.

Young Life

Young Life

Young Life communities strive to create meaningful, mentoring relationships between leaders and teens and to create spaces where teens are listened to, and where questions of life and faith can be discussed. You will find Young Life leaders wherever kids are found… cheering in the stands at a hockey game, encouraging them in school activities, or hanging out at the nearest coffee shop or skate park.

ewomenNetwork

The E-Women Networks unique model of local fund-raising and local giving through their chapters engages thousands of women across North America to give generously in support of their mission. To date they have awarded cash grants to 115 deserving non-profits and 167 scholarships to emerging female leaders of tomorrow. They produce the International Femtor® Awards Annually to present the Humanitarian of the year, Corporate Champion of the year and more. The word Femtor® is a registered trademark of eWomenNetwork and means “a wise and trusted woman providing knowledge, inspiration and practical information to other women.”

This is what we love to do – support and commit to giving back to the communities in which we live.
