You’ll Never Walk Alone!

“You’ll never walk alone” a song recorded by Gerry & the Pacemakers was my Father in Law’s (Mac) favourite song.
It’s the Liverpool FC Anthem and to hear it sung by 10’s of thousands of football/soccer fans brings chills to your very soul
We all have that go-to song to get us through a moment or tough situation. This was his. He received a cancer diagnosis just as the Covid_19 travel restrictions came into play in early 2020. Facetime calls will never quite replace time spent in person. At the beginning of 2021 he received the news nobody wants to get. As soon as we were able to travel back from Canada we were home. We didn’t know how long we’d have but we decided we’d make the most of each and every day. We were able to work remotely already (Thanks Covid lol) So we just went for it!
A few weeks turned into 9 amazing months. I was able to run a 3-day digital training in February and launch our 2nd mastermind. Work for me isn’t just work. Second to family, it’s my very passion. To be able to help others with either our time or experienced services is all the fuel we need to keep going each and every day. Debbie and I so appreciate all of our clients and friends who have held space and encouraged us to stay the path unknown.
Debbie’s Dad was a fighter. His love for his family and football was evident in all that he did and was. We spent a very graceful last week with him in Hospice. It was a very beautiful yet deeply sad experience. No one really knows how you’ll cope, but with faith and family you do. He left us peacefully listening to “Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart, and you’ll never walk alone” streaming from my iPhone with the four of us gathered around saying our goodbye’s and wishing him peace.
We wouldn’t have changed a thing about this year. Have I missed out on deals and opportunities? Sure I have. But there’ll be more. But I know I’ve made the most out of each and every day and kept our business running and more importantly served my family.
What it has done is taught me to trust and delegate. To believe in everything that is good and pure in the world, and that the Universe has my back. I’ve become the CEO I should have been long ago and all is well.
It’s time to come home to Canada. To get back into new routines and focus on 2022. If there’s one thing you know about me is that when I commit to doing something, it’ll happen with every drop of energy and creativity I can muster. I’ve learned and studied so much this year and I cannot wait to share it with you in January at our next live training 🙂
Get Known & Dare to be Digital 3 will broadcast live from Canada January 11-13 2022 and I’m excited to channel everything into helping as many businesses as I can get their new year’s marketing strategy together. I hope you’ll join me. Get yourself booked in and be ready for 3 amazing training sessions.
Thank you for being part of our journey, For following and sharing, and learning together as we grow. Your words and messages are like oxygen to us.
This Friday we celebrate Dad’s life. I hope you have something from this year to celebrate too. I hope there’s a song or a poem or scripture that brings you hope.
I’ll leave you with the song Mac loved so very much
Until next time – stay social and keep family #1.
