Have you mastered finding new local customers using Instagram Marketing as your strategy?

While I was travelling last week, I was monitoring my various social channels, especially Instagram  – there’s no question this is the hottest platform out there right now.

I was followed by a local farm produce store, their post caught my attention, I saw that I would be passing them on my way home. I did in fact stop by, met the owners and congratulate them on their local marketing strategy – here’s how it went down

It all started with them finding local people on Instagram and following them – it’s so important in business to have a “Public” profile.


Notice how many people they’ve followed!! And in their profile there’s a 10% incentive to follow them back (Which I did)


I actually wrote them back and they replied right back – this shows me that they’re connected and keen! We always want to do business with people rather than a faceless brand  – their post also really caught my eye – travelling on a long hot weekend their post about their cold pressed juices totally hit the spot!


So as you saw from our video – it was a real success story – they were super friendly, excited to have recently reopened and they were very excited to have met me and that their strategy was working.

I even posted a pic on my Instagram, tagged them, and of course they wrote right back!



Not only were they very responsive, but took the time to remember my name! Talk about making you feel appreciated!

So – how are you using Instagram for driving local business into your store? It of course takes effort and it’s all mobile driven, but if you’re passionate about your business (and these guys sure are) then you’ll make the time! The guys at Mom n Pops don’t even have a website (yet?) I’ll find out! But armed with a smart phone and a great attitude they’re crushing it – how about you?
